It's all happening in the PL this afternoon

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Nil-nil everywhere except Spurs are beating Man Utd... Where would the PL be without our attacking prowess and defensive crapness for entertainment? ;))

Sir Les!!! :-D

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

I'd prefer Man Utd to win: I bleeding hate Spurs.

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

This is a bit depressing: Spurs normally beat Man Utd at home, too.

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

Three nowt now - ManU in turmoil down in London

Hoodoo!!!

There were a few more goals for the academy sides though. They each put seven past Wrexham. It was 7-2 for the U-19s (three for Offiong) and 7-0 for the U-17s (four for Lewis Guy).

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

I still regard the 7-1 we did against them in Keegan's last days equal to the 5-0.....

Man Utd do occasionally get stuffed by someone or other every season and people start saying "Oh, they aren't going to win anything" but they still do. Thing is, Spurs are in the same ballpark as us - trying for that top 6 spot, which is why I wish them nothing but ill fortune.

Me too Sparxx - especially as it sent the wife into labour -shes a Spurs fan

Surrounded by them this afternoon.

Getting nauseating

At least we beat their first team

You also have to question why Ferguson would pick a team without a left midfileder when he has Fortune and Giggs to choose from

I think he's finally lost the plot.

Come on you Reds, it's 3-1 now.

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

3-2 and looking a bit feisty :-)

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

Oh tits! Munchkin scores.

OOOhhhhh 3-3. Useless cockneys :-)

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

West Ham are showing the same form as last week. It's 4-0 to Everton, with Steve Watson and Dirty Don both scoring for Everton!

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

Bollox re Sunderland cos Bolton aren't going to score, but woo hooo re Man Utd. Southampton beating Boro, Everton trouncing West Ham; I was maybe a bit harsh on the afternoon's proceedings...

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

Please stay a draw....maybe a few injuries or deaths even but I don't want either of them to get 3 points.

West Ham suffering.

Crikey - 4-3 to Man Utd.

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

But Spurs are World Beaters now they have Hoddle so we must expect a fightback.

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

5-0 to Everton

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

Look on the bright side with the mackems: Kilbane has set both their goals up so they're stuck with him :-)

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

Ha ha ha: 5-0 to Everton. I'm so happy. Shit re Craddock: no doubt the Makems will be European contenders now.

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

Softie - what time are you getting to the pub tomorrow?

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

Have switched over to the Everton webcast as the Spurs one had gotten dull. ;-))

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

1-3 to Southampton: ha ha ha.

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

Shows how good WHU really are!

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

Wow! And Everton have done all this without Big Dunc! Pistone is playing as well.

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

According to Talksport, this is one of the best games ever (ie the one at WHL).

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

What does that say about us, Clarky? ;-))

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

5-3 to the menace now. Guess they were determined not to let what happened at our place a couple weeks ago happen again. ;-)

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

5-3. I wonder whether they'll ressurrect the "Save our Spurs" banners.

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

Am I the only one getting nervous about our match tomorrow after all these high scoring matches today?

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

I am, too, Ciara!

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

Man City are 4-0 down at home to Wimbledon!

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

One thing: I guess you can say that our defence isn't much worse than anyone else's ;)

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

So that puts Arsenal top on 14 pts, ahead of Man Utd and Leeds on goal difference. I won't put the mockers on the league table tomorrow night be suggesting what might happen if the Ipswich v Leeds and toon v Liverpool results turn out OK!

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

Just listened to Peyter on BBC saying that the mackems were dead lucky - that the best team by quite a margin lost. Said it was all down to his keeper - so presumably Sorensen was back?
Got to admit the blerk calls a spade a spade - said he was now looking forward to an easy spell - Man U, Leeds and Arsenal!

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

I'll be in for 12.00 tomorrow Dougs.

2 lots of media tarts fight out a 5-3 and we'll never hear the end of it. Don't anyone bother phoning 606 unless you come from North London.

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

I enjoyed Hutchison's goal! ;-) Nice to see Stevie Watson get one as well.

-- Anonymous, September 29, 2001

Remember West Ham had Tomas Repka against us, arguably the best man on the pitch. He was suspended against Everton.

-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001

So we should sign Repka.

-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001

Don't know how well he'd communicate with the others but he certainly has the physical presence.

-- Anonymous, October 01, 2001

The others don't communicate with each other so that shouldn't be a problem. ;-)
