Hello there Gilbert, welcome to the promised land , lucky guy, as you know Toon moved from the Riverside to another complex nearer the city, for training, I am not sure but I have a feeling that training is not so open to the public, Steph used to go regular and with no training ground reports of late from her this must be the case, sorry I cannot be of much help.

Gilbert,

I've only just accessed your message (1:30pm Sat) - sorry!

The Toon were training at the DSS facilities on Whitley Rd. Longbenton. However, I read a comment from BR recently regarding them training at British Gas' Blue Flames ground, which is actually right next door to the DSS ground.

The real problem is that both facilities are private, with no public access - I believe this is deliberate on the part of the Toon. I can see both sides of the argument - it is a pity that fans, especially younger ones, are now denied close access to their heroes and the ability to watch them train. On the other hand, I guess there is a legitimate argument for their training to be away from prying eyes. Difficult one.

Thanks for all of your advice.

I have been to Blue Flames today and Clarky, you are correct that we have no way to watch for their trining. The security guards there tipped me to go back to St James' Park, in which I have taken the photos with most of the players. They are very friendly and I think I have got what I would like to get.

I am also going to the match tomorrow. Howay the lads.... 3-1 to us....
