....and you might get what you wish for. I have fallen into the Leica trap before - reading about how great something is but end up not suiting my style.

Well it isn't Leica lust so much as the fact that I REALLY like the way shots from the Noct look. Especially color ones. Which is strange because usually I feel that B/W is the Leica strong suit. But oh, those creamy backgrounds............

In all honestym I would probably be just as happy with one of the Nikon SLR 50 1.2 lenses. But the shots from the Noct just look very cool to my eye. How much would I actually use it? Who can say. I have lots of gear that I thought I would use, and then rarely touch. Anyone need a Mamiya 645 system?

Dear Ray,

The Noct has been my everyday Leica lens since I bought it new two months ago. It is heavy but it is lighter and smaller than the Canon EF 70-200/2.8L. Sometimes the nature and the city landscape of Hong Kong can be dull without the interpretation of the Noct. Expose ten more rolls before you sell it.

I agree. The noctilux must be used and practiced with for anything technically good to come out. This is the experience Im having. The more I use it the better I am at using this tool to acheive what I bought it for in the first place. Its my primary lens. Dont let it go too quickly

OK. Thanks for the advice. I will use it for another year and see what happens.
