Ok, I was a the Lost and Found sale, and someone lost a Voigtlander 110, and I found it cheep. I can now say I own one (small vicory, but I'm claiming it) I'm a B&W guy, and as far as grain goes, well I have other cameras for dealing with that

Now if I wanted to develop the colour 110 in B&W developer, what would I do? I noticed an earlier post on c-41 in Ilfosol. I'm thinking tray... I got 3 rolls of Fuji 200 colour neg film. Any ideas? Thanks Dean

I don't think you can develop C-41 color in a B&W developers. It just doesn't work. I know you can do an Ilford XP in B&W developer, but that's the only film I know that can work. and XP is a B&W C-41 film.

you Fuji 200 color is not going to work on any b&W chem. Save your time and send it off to you local discount shop.

To finish my experiment. I tried 6 min in Ilfosol tray processing the roll by see-sawing in the 8x10 tray -- the 110 film sits nicely in the slots at the bottom of the tray. 6 min was too much. The problem seemed to be the anti-halation coating on the back which was quite dence and didn't clear. I think it may not have been a coating though, because it looks exactly the same as the silver on the front.

Anyhow, if you burn through it with an enlarger, you get a decent picture with 35 seconds wide open for a 5x7. It clearly shows all parts of the image, including my finger over 1/4 of the shot, fingernail marks on the negitive, and a real thumb print down in the corner. I think i gota work on dextarity. Dean

Yes C-41 film can be developed in b&w chemistry, but as you discovered the colour mask remains. I think someone explained this regarding the differences in the two processes in the forum not that long ago. I did one roll just to see - I don't believe EVERYTHING I read on the Internet :) I've never made any prints from them, just a few scans to show people.
