... Flood Watch This Afternoon Through Saturday...

A Broad Low Pressure Area Has Continued To Slowly Develop Over The Southeast Gulf Of Mexico This Morning. Combined With A Stalled Frontal Boundary To The North Of South Florida Along With Ample Moisture In The Atmosphere, The Potential For Heavy Rain Over South Florida Will Persist For The Next 36 Hours.

The Soil In South Florida Has Already Been Saturated. Most Of South Florida Received Rainfall Thursday, Some With Notable Amounts. Some Of Those Notable Amounts, Based On Observations And South Florida Water Management District Rain Gauges, Were Oakland Park, 3.03; Miami International Airport, 2.69; Hialeah, 2.52; Delray Beach, 2.51; Boynton Beach And Pompano Beach, 2.44; Lauderdale Lakes, 2.07; And Boca Raton With 1.92. Many Other Locations Recorded Between One To Two Inches.

Over The Next 36 Hours, Widespread Rainfall Of 3 To 6 Inches Will Be Possible Across South Florida With Local Amounts To 8 Inches Possible.
