I posted this on TB2k also, it's alarming to me, but I ain't no banker. ***************** Had an interesting conversation today with a banker. He was telling about bank fraud attempts running rampant. Seems in the last month, no less than three forged cashier's checks were presented for payment with his signature on them. (As well as his sec'ys initials, etc.)

Amounts (approx) $800k, $1MMplus, $3MM plus.

Said his signature, had he not known better, would have been done by him. His sec'y had "initialled" also; so well, it was indistinguishable from her own hand.

His bank didn't have to eat it, the bank on the other side of the world would have to take the hit. Ties? You guess. *********** Also mentioned a poor ba$tard that deposited one of these had his life threatened, otherwise it would have not been attempted. Things get more interesting every day.
