I have an M3 that needs the strap lug replaced. Can anyone recommend a good repair shop? Thanks in advance.

I would suggest Sherry Krauter:Golden Touch Camera Repair 118 Purgatory Road Campbell Hall, New York 10916 845-496-8834

I would also recomend Sherry Krauter, have had repairs done by her for years and never had any complants what so ever .

Sherry Krauter has repaired and CLA'd several cameras for me. Her work is good and the charges reasonable...........

http://www.lhsa.org/maintenance.htmlDon Goldberg (DAG) may be faster than Sherry and somewhat less expensive. He's widely used by Leica dealers like Jim Kuehl and others.
I've used Don quite a bit and have been very satisfied. However, if and when someone opens up my M3, it'll be Sherry.

The M3 that I got back from Sherry's CLA is the smoothest Leica that I have ever used - much better than my newer M6. I highly recommend her work.

I used Ross Yerkes. He did a CLA and repaired the camera (one speed 1/8swas not working as it should). The work was done in 2 weeks at a very attractive price.
