ARSENE WENGER says Arsenal have nothing to fear in Athens tonight after tasting the hostility of the North East.
The Gunners boss is bracing himself for a torrid Champions League reception when his team take on Panathinaikos in the tiny Apostolis Nikolaidis Stadium.
But he insists visits to Newcastle and S*******d have more than prepared his team for Greeks bearing abuse.
Wenger declared: "I have played in Greece, Turkey and all around the world, but nothing compares to the atmosphere in the North East of England.
"English teams are lucky when they play abroad because they are used to huge noise from the crowd and thrive on it. S********d and Newcastle are worse than anything we will face in Athens.
"We will be up against a crowd of 16,000 when we take on Panathinaikos. At Newcastle there are nearly 60,000 fans and the noise they make is really impressive."

Actually, in the last few years, things have happened when we play Arsenal to get us going..either bad refereeing or a 4-2 win.

Last season's 10 games after we were stuffed at Arsenal : wlwdldwlwl

And the next game after that run in Dec/Jan was away to Charlton when most on here wanted the team shot.
