Was my post of direct quotes deleted?

I believe I had a post deleted because I quoted two people accurately without comment. Maybe it was my lack of comment which caused the post to be deleted. I took no position on the quotes whatsoever. I will now list something from the same friend who sent me 'Letter from an Afghan' (Andy Tobias, a brilliant man but, in my mind, as politically misguided as he believes me to be). :o) In any event, here's what he wrote;

<>

I apologize to whomever deleted my post for my failure to make these notations there. Had I done so, maybe it wouldn't have been deleted. ;o)

Here's my second attempt at the Tobias quote;

To be fair, Falwell and Robertson have disassociated themselves from their own remarks. When the Reverend Falwell said, “the ACLU’s got to take a lot of blame for this,” he didn’t mean it. As he told Geraldo Rivera on CNBC, he hadn’t slept much the night before, and so he “misspoke.” Slip o’ the tongue. And when the billionaire Reverend Robertson responded, “Well, yes,” it was because he wasn’t sure what “the ACLU’s got to take a lot of blame for this” – a complex, convoluted sentence if ever there was one – meant. When the Reverend Falwell, after listing the pagans and the gays and lesbians and the feminists, et al, said, on national TV, “I point the finger in their face and say ‘you helped this happen,’” he just wasn’t expressing himself clearly, he told Geraldo, because that’s certainly not something he would have said if he had had more sleep. And when the Reverend Robertson shot back, “I totally concur,” what he meant to say was, “I totally disagree.”

Gary, my opinion is that when Falwell and Robertson speak, they are not acustom to speaking for people who can think for themselves. The Bible says "beware of false profits", my spelling is off, but the word "profits" is not.

I have not commented on Falwell and Robertsons "open mouth,insert foot" comments because they were so inappropriate. I can't imagine saying something so stupid at such a terrible time in American history. Hopefully I won't be reminded of those two again as I try hard not to think about that type of human being.
