When will it end

Quote from IC Newcastle web site news.

'One first-team squad member not available tomorrow is Spanish defender Marcelino who has been injured yet again. The £6 million man has been under treatment for a groin injury.'

Can't we pay someone to take him off our hands... Waste of space.

How about offering him to the RVI for medical research? About the only things he hasn't been out with so far are acne and dandruff. But there's still time I suppose.

"The £6 million man has been under treatment for a groin injury"

All that onanism takes its toll...

He might as well retire.

With his record NO CLUB will ever want to take him, even if he was free. We're lumbered with him till his contract expires.

We need to look at this from a non-football point of view. If any of us had purchased something at "fair market value" (ahem), and had the amount of service from it that we have had from Farcelino, then we would either take the vendor to court for "unfit for purpose" or have to accept that we have misused/maltreated the goods and it is our fault for the breakage.

Interesting - I wonder what course of action the club could/would take in this particulr instance??

Alternatively, as an employer, after a certin extended period of "incapacity" aren't you entitled to lay the person off?

The Pizza shop is called Pizza Addict , bedford Street North Shields, Phone 296 5544 , delivery available to most of North Tyneside, but the cheap Pizzas are for collection only between 11am - 8pm.

It's not my shop, mines Rik's sexual appliances unltd, next door.

If you want a pizza from outside North Tyneside, Tell me hat you want and I'll E mail you one like I did for Andy.

Isn't there some kind of insurance to be collected off a perma-crock? Write him off and put him out to pasture.

Forgot to add that on the radio last night Fernando Redondo walked up to Milan's chairman and asked him to stop paying his wages because he'd been injured since just after they bought him, He felt bad about taking the money. No chance of that with the money grabbing git.

Senor Redondo's injury must be a head injury.

Yep Screach you`re right, unless UK employment law has changed in the past few years, employees can indeed be laid off for incapacity. Naturally enough there`s due process to be followed which can be quite lengthy ... always assuming someone at the club actually manages the staff hahaha.Sadly though I`d be doubtful Marcie has even been started through the process seeing as the club`s been living in hope of selling him.

CREATIVE SOLUTION NO.1: it would therefore be much faster now just to declare his shirt number redundant (well how often in the past 3 years have we profited from it?). You`d just have to be careful not to give the shirt to a new signing by mistake !

This might sound like a radical solution but I'd be tempted to sick him in the side based on the performance of our current back 4 on Sunday. But of course he's injured so tht's that.
