Bernie the bolt

Lots of talk on here re Griffin replacing Bartinho. For my money Elliot was equally as culpable on Sunday, let's give Olivier Bernard a go. Strong, fast and left-footed. He IS left-footed isn't he?

He also looks like the fella that played Mercucio in Romeo & Juliet - natty dread and 'ting...I...

Actually my boy , I'll be playing Bernard instead of Robert on Wednesday. Thanks for the ideas, but I'm the gaffa and I pick the team not you.

He's had the dreads cut off. Either that or he was wearing a black skull cap at Croft Park a couple of weeks ago.

I think Solano is a cracking player, Just want to say that first. But i would drop him to the bench and play LuaX2, or somone else. This may then buck his ideas up.

Has dropping players from the 1st XI so they 'wake up' ever worked? I can only see it resurrecting the alleged Nobby/Bobby split and encourage 'phone calls from Parma

Which begs the question Bobby - how much would you accept for Nobby? On current form I'd snap someone's hand off if they offered anything approaching 6 Million. Remember we've Dyer to come back and he'll easily slot into the wide right role.

Precisely, Davey boy. Personally I'd look seriously at £6.5m-10m. After all, what do you get for £6m? Dirty Don and 32 yr old journeyman with the change. Nobby is still a quality player when he's got the right boots on, and Dyer is not a natural crosser of the ball.

Careful lads. Once Dyer's fit he's going to Leeds isn't he ? I mean you can't expect them to foot the bills while he's recovering. Be fair. :-))

Nah, they're supposed to be after Diesler and Van Bommel

Dyers not going to Leeds, he's part of the Nicky Butt deal.

Last time we had $6m to spend we got Carl Cort. The time before that it was Marcelino. Let's hang on to Nobby for a while shall we?

If Diesler is available we should try and bid for him too. He's a quality player, great touch and vision. As far as YKD goes, I think the October court case may well have a strong bearing on how hard Leeds try to prise Dyer away. If Bowyer gets sent down (and I for one am pretty convinced he did it & hope he gets banged up alongside the Mirror editor) they'll have a big hole in their midfield & Dyer would surely be on their list. Shame because I think Bowyer is a terrific player and I think Leeds could really do something this season.
