I also don't see why we can't take the FA to court under the trade descriptions legislation when a player is sent off.

As far as I can see, an essential component of the product is being deliberately removed, thus preventing the product from carrying out fully, the purpose for which it was produced.

I mean you'd crib like the clappers if you bought a car and the authorities temporarily removed one of the wheels, or whatever. :-)))

PB - but, by that twisted and somehow suductive logic, you'd be glad to be rid of the said wheel if it deliberately and continuingly caused a crash during your drive. Or, for that matter, if the wheel suddenly bounced the hub-cap off your head, hissed menacingly at you and then tried to re-arrange your hairstyle with its inner tube.
