And in some Y2K related news, the BBC News in the UK reported Sept. 13 that inaccurate tests for Down’s Syndrome earlier this year were caused by a programming error related to Y2K. The report said that the risks for four patients at Northern General Hospital in Sheffield, England, were misread because computers gave incorrect ages for the pregnant women.
