Is it possible to have music playing in the background of a VCD menu made with Nero 5.5. If so, what format does the music have to be, and where in the directory structure should it be put

Nero 5.5.x.x doesn't (yet) support music alongside still MPEG menus. If you really want this best you get WinOnCDPE3.8, VideoPack4, or Philips Video Toolkit.
