Yes, VideoLAN plays SVCD's on OSX 10.1 quite well, however there are some sound sync issues. Have not been able to resolve them, sound is just a little bit behind. Otherwise, it works great, plays smooth, looks spectacular (much better than WinDVD) and otherwise seems to be a pretty solid release.

Better than WinDVD?!?! what the hell have you been smoking? VideoLan can't even read an SVCD from the CD!!! YOu have to copy the file to the HD... Ya know... i love my iBook, but there is NO good way to play an SVCD. End of story.

Yea, same problem with svcd's and VLC, its not working - i'm still searching for a svcd player for my ibook.
