On the lens I use dare I say a nikkor 50 and af works just fine, so could surmise that a any lens of approiate focal length will work, but I think I might be misunderstanding your question. A photo copy of the manual is free of charge from Leica ,in the US at least ,tel 1.800.222.2272 hope this helps.

off topic :The wrong number was for Lacsa a Costa Rica airlines , wonderful way to fly very good food and the drink selection is quite exselent, and I might even say some of if not the the most attrative and intelegent flight attendents I have ever seen , and oh can they dance . oh well sorry for the mistake
