So who's watching the celebrity telethon?

Answers

Don't know. Haven't decided.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I'll be on my way to TEXAS! Yeehaw! I wore my cowboy shirt today, and everything. I'm a-gonna buy me some cowboy boots.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Babies! I am here, in beautiful Funroe. The Chao family get DSL! Whee!

Berman, please tell me you got the e-mail I sent you last night.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I did! Did you get my response.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

No! I'm going to forward it to the rest of MATH so they can know your new enemy, too.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Enemy? Wha?

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I know! I wish I knew the words to that Limp Bizkit song that goes "I know why you wanna hate me!"

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I don't understand why your enemy wrote to AB, when your Sixers thing was on HYD...

I'll kick that guy's ass.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Different entry ... I guested for AB as well, and did in fact call Philly fans assholes.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I just love how he called him an a**hole. What a toughie.

I wish I were on my way to Texas.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Are you going to see the Pineapple?

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Probably tomorrow - I need to call her. We're going to see music tomorrow night, for sure, but I'm not sure who or where. I'm going to buy cowboy boots, though. Yes, sir.

Seriously, what the hell is up with Iran? And the 22nd. Is it the 22 of September, October, or November 22 (Thanksgiving)?

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

September, if I understand correctly.

And I have to work.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

What now? What about Sept 22?

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I don't know - what is supposed to happen on September 22? It's "significant"?

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Apparently the terrorists might have been planning something for that day. Not sure what the story is now.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Off topic, and stupid, but I have to tell y'all:

This morning, I woke up after Chris left and thought I heard a dog whining. I freaked out and jumped up and ran around the apartment looking for "our dog."

I was in the kitchen when I finally realized... we don't have a dog.

I've never done anything like that before, though I have said crazy things when I woke up - but actually getting out of bed and panicking?! I laughed at myself, but it's sort of not funny.

Maybe it's just from stress.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Hey -- that reminded me ... my mom and dad are getting a puppy Sunday. Whoo-hoo!

Also, why is MATH+1 so quiet today?

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Oh Al, I've done that before. I've never gotten all the way to the kitchen, but. . ..

A few days ago John Ashcroft said that it's come out in their investigation that the 22nd of September is/was/would've been a significant date. But they're not releasing more details. (Rightly so, I'd think.)

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Also, why is MATH+1 so quiet today?

I don't know. It was quiet yesterday too. Fridays are usually busy, though.

The annoying thing about Greenspun is you can't really tell if there are a lot of lurkers.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

It was really quiet yesterday, especially in the afternoon. I think it will pick up today, simply because it's Friday.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Now we're all quiet too. Is it the lunch coma?

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I had to go to Target.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I'm just tired and cranky. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Mike - Your 20th entry was great, by the way.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I met Chris for lunch. But I'm back now. I'm leaving at three to head for the airport. Mercifully, I got a hold of a Delta Crown Room Club card.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Your flight's at 530? Or did I just make that number up?

I want to add -olicious to everything today. Because I'm clazy like that. I'm also very bored.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Yeah, people will either love it or hate it. But I feel like a big ol' hypocrite, being as I also said on the forum I have no plans to enlist.

Oh, well. Que sera sera.

Why isn't the clock moving faster?

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Why would that make you feel like a hypocrite? Just because you agree with a military course of action, but choose to remain a civilian doens't make you a hypocrite. It just means that you recognize that you're better suited for civilian duty. Being a responsible, contributing member or our economy is more important than ever, you know?

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Well, no. It's because I really could capture bin Laden and conquor the Taliban if I chose to. I am, after all, The Bermanator.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Hee. True, true.

If any of you are wondering, Melissa asked the brokers in her office and they're all buying GE for the clients. My mom wants me to buy Johnson & Johnson (jnj) and for a long term hold, it was also given the big thumbs up from Mo's brokers.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I htought about buying some airline stock and holding on to it for a while - it's usually waaaaay to expensive to buy, but now it's attainable.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I would need to somehow acquire the spare cash first, is the problem.

Ask Mo why my Staples stock is doing so badly.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

T - if you do, I'd only buy Delta. It was undervalued before and it's one of the few that has no plans for lay-offs. It'll probably come out of this mess better than before.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Actually, Delta's going to do some layoffs next week. For some reason, though, my gut tells me that Delta will make it through this the least scathed.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I am clearly not in a serious, world-tragdy mood today.

Because... y'all... I have to tell you something so funny. Are you ready?

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Oh yes, I'm ready. But tell it soon, before I leave!

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I'm ready too!

(T - I didn't know that about Delta. Interesting.)

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

OK... damn, y'all are going to think I'm a freeeak.

You know those lights you can buy to stick on the wall in your closet or wherever - they're called "Touch Lights?"

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

They're little round disks, you know? And you touch them and they light up?

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Anyway...

I bought a few of them today at Target, because there is no light in my closet and I can't see anything in there.

Well...

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

They happen to be about the same size as... you know... a fairly large... breast implant, I guess.

And if you stick them under your t-shirt... you can hardly tell they're there... until you press on them... and... you can possibly play the funniest joke ever on the MOC when he comes home...

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I am KILLING myself laughing.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Hahahahahaha!!!!!

I think you might be in for an explosion of cheese.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

He will die. I hope I can compose myself long enough for a picture.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

HAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

You too funny, Arrison Rowe!

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

It's all fun and games until somebody dies of shock.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

See, I know - actually, I might die of laughing before he ever gets home.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I want to say hello to amber & KC -- this is CaseK -- and state for the record that this is terrifically bogus. I say "Shmeh." This whole thing makes me very sad; it reminds me of my divorce.

Assuming she's talking about squishettes.com and not the attacks, I'm thinking she needs a little perspective.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Oh, I'm hoping she is.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I think she's referring to the computer-in-pool scenario.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Ok.. t minus 15 minutes or so until the MOC arrives home.

Hey, am I the only one who thought Aidan on MATH+1 was a gay guy? Guess not.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I did too!

Wrong again!

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Aidan's a girl?

I am hairless, y'all. Like, with really short hair. So pretty!

Is everybody able to get into hashai? I keep getting e-mails that people can't get in.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH!!!!

I did it!!!

It killed!!!

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

Tell! Tell!

AB - I got in fine.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2001

I'm out. Y'all have good weekends.
