Watching the Pool game in the pub last night, we kept ourselves amused by trying to create a team with players whose surnames all begin with Z. Actually not as difficult as it sounds...

Having watched a few of Liverpool's mind-numbing UEFA games last season, I think last night's 'adventure' will be my last this season.
Liverpool play just like it says on the can - but frankly I'd rather watch varnish dry!

I start you off with Zoff in goal..

Did you see Zenga has applied for the manager's job at Motherwell !!!

Zoff might join him, Lazio have just sacked him.

Forgot to mention Zaccheroni replaced him. Zs are clearly fashionable in Rome.

Walter Zenga?? Oh lord, he's probably about right for them. He was known to throw punches at supporters/press who criticized him when he was with the Revs.

Not in North Lanarkshire he won't, pal

Zuniga (Solano's mate at Coventry City). Only you might not spell it like that.

Zacerrhoni just took over from Zoff

For the auldies, Zico wasn't too shabby for Brazil. Then there is our old friend, the self-styled hard man from Brazil, Zago - who brings back one of my fondest memories of SJP when he became a knutting board for 'Yin in our UEFA Cup tie with Roma.

Of course both Ziege

and Zidane were both thuoght of right?? Notice how they are not in the same sentence.

How about a team of players with Two Zs? I can immediately think of Zinedine Zidane and Zlatco Zaiovic (that Slovenian bloke whose name I can't spell in other words!). And then there's .........? Perhaps not such a good idea after all!
