Bush to address US Congress Thursday

WASHINGTON, Sept 19 (AFP) -

US President George W. Bush said Wednesday that he would address the US Congress on Thursday and looked forward to explaining who carried out last week's terror attacks and why.

"I look forward to the opportunity to explain to the American people who it is -- who would do this to our great country, and why," he said in an Oval Office appearance with top US legislators.

The person/country responsible (in his eyes) will find out they've been named at just the time the American people are finding out. But somehow I doubt that they'll find out via CNN.

Lessee, if Bushy is chatting with us at, say, 9 pm EDT, that would be when in Kabul? I think it is tending towards day light. I would think we would attack earlier in the evening than that, and if so that the word would be out by the time Bush was taking credit for it.

Could be, if we're going to do an air attack (and that looks likely), the planes will come in shortly after sunrise and head in from the east. That means the Afghanis will have to fire into the sun--not easy. I'll see if I can find the time zone.

Have seen the Stealth in fly-bys numerous times. (One of the few benefits of once living so close to where they are usually kept.) As awsome as they appear in a picture, it is almost impossible to describe the feeling you get when you see one flying, very close. . .Yes, close enough to be able to read *that* message! [G] They are MAGNIFICENT and truly awe inspiring. And, very, very quiet!
