On TV right now - to me it sounds like he is NOT going to side with the USA and is upset with us. Don't know what the talking heads will say.

Talking heads remind us Pakistan has nuclear capability. Damn, just came in on end of his speech and don't know what the gist was. Now they're showing a briefing from Ashcroft, speech analysis is postponed until Ashcroft is finished.

You'd be nervous too if you were caught between the might of the USA and a bunch of scud missiles on your border ready to bomb the hell out of your country.

I do not envy the guy his position. It truly is a tight position to be in.

Being American, I would have to consider the size of the rock compared to the hard place, as the USA has more missiles than Afghanistan, and more friends. And they are powerful as well.

I would suggest that if the pakistan prez agrees to the USA, he make it on condition that we take out those scuds first thing. I think we can meet him on that score, don't you?

I think the gist of it is he will do what the US wants, saying he believes he is doing what's best for Pakistan. If the US has been asked to take out the scuds, it won't be announced until it's done, I guess.
