Bolton question

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Bolton away tickets are on sale to season ticket holders now. There are two categories. In the event that tickets will still be available to the general public (me), where is the place to be - upper or lower tier? Ta.

Come on, one of yous. markus aka 'supermac', will be traveling all the way from Amsterdam (I assume), someone must know where the place to be is at the Reebock?

Never been to The Reebok Stadium Marcus, but I'm very interested in the answer to your question before I put in my own application.

Actually, I suspect not many will have been to The Reebok - I think we've only played there twice before.

Thanks Stevo for keeping my query alive Stevo. Yes, I'll be coming from Amsterdam and will also be joined by my cousin from Auckland New Zealand (!), so I want to make sure we can make the most of it. Any replies appreciated. By the way Stevo, but I'm sure you know, the West Ham game is on RTL5 on Sunday - if you can't be bothered to go to the pub that is ;-)

The view from the upper tier in the Reebok is superb. The rake on the seats is very steep - your knees are level with the head of the bloke in front! Lower tier is OK but has less of a rake.

The main problem at the Reebok is parking. Last time I saw Newcastle there (one striker, Barnes, up front - makes me shudder to think about it) it took me longer to get off the car park than it took me to get back to Stoke!

The view is best from upstairs but perfectly adeqate from the front. Have a look at www.bwfc.co.uk.

The ground is brand new and is out of town. I don't know what the public transport is like but there should be plenty from Bolton town centre.

PS Visitors I think are in the South Stand - which as the PA guy so eloquently put a few months ago is at the South End of the ground. . .

Well, I've been twice - first time saw them beten when Notlob were relegated. I was in the upper tier (more like tear that night). Second time, I went to see the Resorves with Josh. We were in the lower section of the main stand (only because the rest of the ground wsa shut - which is perhaps a good reason for not playing wor resorve matches at an empty SJP, Pit Bill excepted). Either level gives a good view. IMHO, it's more the position around the ground han the height above it. Boro was a great spec. @rse is, well, @rse!
