Screacher, Stan Varga is our 6'5" 'ball playing' centre half. Quality player, but doesn't get up opponents @r$es enough for PR's liking. With the revelation of McCartney he's fourth choice and looking to move on.

He's probably better than anything on NUFC's books, except Dabizas.

He was being hailed as a hero in his first couple of matches for making goalline clearances. This seems a bit like Acuna being praised for his last ditch tackles in the 6 yard box in that the pair of them are supposed to have stopped people getting anywhere near the goal and should have these last second interventions viewed as job-saving challenges rather than match-winning ones.
