I've seen printouts of this, no one seems to know who the artist is, just appeared on the internet. Jeff Rense put it on his site.

It turned up a couple of days ago. I think I saw it on Lucianne.

I got handed a printout of it just 2 days after the attack... it's been wandering around all over, didn't know if all here had seen it... my son has it on his wall in his room, took it to school too...

Odd the artist chose not to take credit...

That's a very powerful picture. I wonder about the tear in the Eagle's eye. I wonder what the Eagle might know that the rest of us do not. I have to say this, I have a bad nagging feeling in my gut that the whole business is not what it appears to be. I have seen such things in the past, we all have, where we find out later (much later) that some pretty ugly things were behind our initial perceptions.

I don’t know about the conspiracies, etc., that wander the net at times like these. This picture has a powerful effect on me. I wore the “Screaming Eagle” on my shoulder, serving with the 1st of the 502nd, 101st Airborne; I remember the humiliation and frustration when Saigon fell, the friends and family I lost to keep that from happening, to no avail.

Now, years later, this; and my oldest a Navy Seal, a virgin to the Terrorist Response Team, about ready to lose his cherry big time...

This image strikes me right to the bone; it hurts... if the eagle looked older and grayer, I’d say he was me...

Carl, that's exactly what I mean. What *was* Viet Nam all about? Sure, I know what we were being told by the government, the various Presidents who kept it going, all that sort of thing. But what was it *really* all about, when you dig down deep to figure it all out? I'm not talking about conspiracy stuff, no. How about manipulation though?

We see stories about WWII and how Pearl Harbor got us into the thick of it with Japan. We also see some evidence that the attack was known to be in the making and the folks at Pearl were not warned. Are we going to see something like that, again, when the information and data from the WTC starts leaking out? Oh my, I hope not. But if there is a deeper story it will likely come from BBC. One of the most powerful mini-series BBC did was The Men Who Killed Kennedy. What a shame that some credible media *outside* the US has to be the one that tells us what was going on *within* the US at that point in time.
