Saw Moulin Rouge t'other day. Brilliant, brilliant and thrice brilliant. Need to go again this week but fancy a boys movie - anyone seen Fast & Furious yet? Any good?

BTW, out of a crowd of 30ish, Moulin Rouge was split almost down the middle between 'brilliant' and 'shite', no-one said it was 'okay'. A real love-it-or-hate-it.

I'm very much a despiser of musicals, but I like Euan McGregor ("the council will not allow me to train you") and the director / producer (?) did Romeo and Juliet (one of my all time favourite modern adaptations). Hmmm...probably will go.

McGregor has the BEST voice. I was saying to 'er indoors all the way thru that whoever sang for him was magnificent, so we waited for the credits and buggar me he sang all of it! Magical. Mrs ex-Cruise sang just about okay, but acted her little heart out. But best of all was the photography. Big wow factor there - and I understand it was shot in Oz too?

But isn't 'Debbie does Darligton' a girlie movie about shopping and stuff?

No actually it's a sequel to Debbies does dwight yorke, but this time she jumps into bed with all of the Darlington players.

Is it on DVD yet? I find the freeze frame so much better than on VHS...

We thoroughly enjoyed Moulin Rouge, some of it was so clever, although I was slightly taken aback at how many of the songs I didn't know !! I thought the Roxanne song/scene was absolutely brilliant, just screamed out at you.I feel you need to have a certain liking for over the top productions to really enjoy it, otherwise you may think it's over the top :0)
