You can see Laurent on telly (Canal + digital sports channel) every day this week (18.45 and 20.45) apparently. Episode One had him talking about how quickly he has had to gel with the team and the press reaction to him as well as meeting Olivier Bernard, his new mate, and seeing his new house (which, if you care, has a swimming pool). Just in case you hadn't seen it...

Does it feature an interview with any Newcastle fans in the Strawberry from Wednesday night? ;-)

Does it have subtitles?Does it show his missus frolicking naked in the pool?
If not i'm not interested

I only pray it's an inside pool - seeing as how bloody winter has descended in the middle of September. If not, he could be gone by Xmas.

Softie, I'm just trying to establish that :))

The pool was the selling point, swim in summer Ice skate the rest of the year

Good plan Gus, but we don't have summer here any more - we only have winter and July!

Now Softie and Dougal, quit passing notes. If it's so interesting, perhaps you'd like to share with the rest of the class. ;-))

Ciara, Softie, who is now the BBS Media Representative (after being interviewed before the Troyes game) was approached by a French TV guy who was also a friend of Laurent's to give an interview on Laurent. The Strawberry is obviously the place for aspiring media tarts as just prior to that they were after extras for a football film!

Apparently in episode two, they were talking about training which is much more physical and much less tactical than in France as well as visiting the club shop and more shots of his house etc.

Unfortunately my apartment is in a listed building, so it's impossible to get any satellite TV. I'll see if I can get someone to record it for me and give you a run-down on it.

An excellent choice. So Dougal, are you now representing both Mr. Softie and Mr. Jonno. Your new career is picking up since leaving London. ;-)
-- Anonymous, September 18, 2001
Well, Jonno's career has gone a bit quiet as he objected to my 10% demands but Softie's career is still at an embryonic stage so I have whipped up a contract that guarantees me 50% of his cash earnings plus 80% of royalties for life ;)

Very shrewd. :-)
