Is It Just Me? (Expressing Sentiments) (Misc.)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I always find myself wanting to sign my posts with Love, Lynn and do with my friends. But especially lately I have caught myself writing it and erasing it, don't want anybody to think I'm gushy! It must be all this war stuff, being a Christian I want to love everyone from that sense too. I feel like I know some of you a little better now also and I guess we are sort of family. Does anyone else feel more sentimental right now?

Go ahead and sign your postings any which way you want to, Lynn, postive feelings of emotion are always welcome if they are sincere! Folks sign theirs many different ways if you have noticed.

I do the same with my postings. As for being sentimental at this time--Im guilty there too. I probably spent more time than I should listening/reading about the individuals who had been killed and was struck by the following:

Given that we live in a time where the divorce rate is very high (1 out of 2?)I found it reaffirming that most people described their spouse as being loving, that there was true love that had been destroyed.... In the morning routines that were described--so many sounded loving and respectful. Those are the kind of relationships we should all strive for, and leave the bad moods at the door...

Lynn, I think everyone is shaken up-I never thought I would get misty eyed at hearing people sing "God Bless America". We all have good reason to be gushy right now.

Neither Dave or I have any problem with people closing their posts with a passing religions reference, such as "May God bless all of you" or whatever one would normally use in written correspondence. We are seeking a balance, not a ban.
