M5 & CL straps

What are people using for straps on M5s and CLs. I am not satisfied with anything I find. Some of the nylon web straps tend to fray.

I use what I think is a Contax T1 strap (sacrilege!) on my CL. I hate the vertical hanging strap and for this reason I am tempted to get a kameraleder CL half case, but they are too pricey for me right now.

Check the Kameraleder website www.kameraleder.com for thier camera strap. I just recieved one and it is beautiful! Excellent service to boot.

does that kameraleder strap attach to the lugs on the camera or to their half case?

The strap comes with two "O" rings that attach to the lugs. Check it out it's nice!

I have repeadly asked myself, "why did I get rid of my M5". Yes the meter was unreliable but that wasn't it. You just reminded me that it was that damn vertical hanging. I'm sure that if I'd gotten a later 3 lug model I'd still have it. The Leica factory motto should be "Two steps forward, at least one step backwards."

The CL/CLE Kameraleder case is a full case, complete with front (I was thinking that a half case was available but I was wrong) and the case has normal strap lugs, so the camera hangs horizontally. You don't use the camera lugs. It is very nice, but horribly expensive.
