Aye, proof once & for all Man U are our REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL rivals

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

It doesn't get any better than that......not even when Wes Brown actually DEFLECTS the going-wide shot intio his own net. FACT!

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

You Manc twatt. For once just except defeat.

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

Who the hell cares how the ball gets in the net? It did and THAT's a fact!

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

..... or the fact that either Bellamy or Solano could, and probably should have scored before the ball even got to Shearer.

Crap defence....FACT.

LR it is getting that teams can now expect a in off from young Wesley, gettin pretty regular, pity that the kid had to be the dominant of the c/b `s as I`m afraid Blanc will suffer this season when you are not allowed to boss it.

A video of Robert's free-kick is already on the spysports website at www.spysports.co.uk

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

Maybe we should talk about the nice fella Alpay who helped you score vs Aston Villa?

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

...and how did MANURE equalise against Villa two weeks ago (in injury time too!)?

Absolute bollocks, sour, sour, sour...

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

The fact you think it doesnt get any better than beating Man U just shows what plastic self obbsessed fans some people on here are

I wanna beat the mackem scum, that will be better, i assure you, all this hype about Man U is bullshit so lets get our feet back on the ground.

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

Look pal - Man U have been the best team in this country for a number of years. Beating them means something tangible, and something positive. Beating the mackems might make us feel good for a while, but in the wider scheme of things - including our progress back to the top - it would mean nowt of real significance.

BTW - if you really feel this bbs is populated by "plastic, self-obbsessed fans" then the answer is at your finger-tips.

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

I think that may have been a quote from Shearer himself Real Mag.

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

Sorry Real Mag - I disagree. Beating the Makems twice in a season would be great, but beating the likes of ManUre, who I presume you agree are one of the top teams in this country, is a far better achievement and if we can sustain that form, likley to get us up near the top of the league. The confidence gained by beating ManUre is far greater than a mid-table team like the Makems. Get real.

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

Real Mags are us,!! My feet have been firmly planted on the ground for a total of 61 years, now in then my toes curl and I waggle them about, 51, 52 , 55 , were great years for toe waggling , By the time the Fairs Cup came around I had progressed to actual heel raising by numbers, Games against Barca and Man U, 5-0 I was giving Riverdance full welly, those games were an actual challenge to my plates of meat, against the best , Sunlun and the match tends to bring on the gout, so give me that wee comfort and let me glory in the day.

Hey Rob.....I can't accept defeat mate. Never have. Not even when we've been comprehensively outplayed with no excuses. Losing away to NUFC is shite...especially when we get the abuse that we do from you lot (spitting in our faces while referring to us as scum). Yer captain is a slimey arsed turd who is still gutted that he made the money-move, a lot of yer fans pick and choose their games and the silence is golden. The only saving grace about NUFC is Bobby Robson.

But like my Murphys......lol

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

Buff...Wes is like a freakin' own-goal magnet at the moment. Blanc is slow and can easily be expoed unless he gets to grip with our game. It's looking like we have to score 4 or 5 to win a game. Theis is NOT my idea of fun.

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

Sudden me old Viking oppo.....I think you should note that our goal against villa went down as an own goal...we just accept it.

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

Thanks LR for confirming what we all feel about Singapore United and their 'supporters'. Whine, whine whine. Please keep it up! Its almost as good as the result itself. We love it!

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

LR, there are over 40,000 ST holders so not that many of us pick and choose our games and as for getting abuse, I've been spat at at OT so don't go all self-righteous on us.

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

"Yer captain is a slimey arsed turd who is still gutted that he made the money-move"

Is that why Roy Keane "tried" to smack him?

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

Hehe ya LR. You have to accept those things =)

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

Let's not be too rude to LR or he might go away for ever - then we wouldn't have the same fun the next time we beat them and Keane gets sent off!

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

I'm not having fun seeing LR unable to handle defeat. I am devestated that Manchester United didn't win their game.

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

OK, I lied, it is kind of fun :)

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

Sorry Douggie...don't believe it. Away fans can stroll out of OT without any bother.

-- Anonymous, September 16, 2001

Bollix away fans walk out of OT with no bother; a couple of years ago a few of my mates were chased over a little bridge as they left, they saw your thugs beating some of our lot. We travelled by car but saw it kick off so I was trying to ring my mates to see if they got out of it ok. It happens everywhere but Manchester has a real problem, City in particular.

-- Anonymous, September 17, 2001

LR, we normally get kept in for at least twenty minutes - that's how little bother we have and pity anyone who gets on that train from OT to Piccadilly. When was the last time you walked out of OT away end? Tony is right, though, City are even worse (I sustained my only football injury at Maine Road about eight years ago when some nutter threw a brick which didn't discriminate about whose head it hit).

-- Anonymous, September 17, 2001

LR - "when Wes Brown actually DEFLECTS the going-wide shot intio his own net."

Very kind of him it was too. Can we play you every week? Personally, I'd have preferred it if Al's shot (which was heading for the far corner, but probably wouldn't have gone in with a defender on the post) had bobbled up, hit a divot, Barthez missing it and Al following up with the ball crawling over the line after hitting him on the bum. Maybe a few Mags in offside positions would have made it better.

Keane is a thug who occasionaly plays brilliant football, but if you can't keep your temper you don't deserve to be on the pitch. And your manager's a disgrace for trying to defend him. Had his swing connected Keane would be facing an extended ban and rightly so.

Sorry to hear you were spat at. Those responsible are prize c**ts.

-- Anonymous, September 17, 2001

Bobby...the spitting thing was only used my myself as part of the justification why I was on here whining. It happens everywhere.

Honestly Bobby....go see the pictures or the TV replay....fuckin' HANDBAGS. The most Shearer would have got was a red face.

Many players can't keep their temper down..THAT'S human nature and on a football pitch with 50,000 fans on top of you it can be very difficult. OK..most players can keep calm but ask your self this...what tyoe of player usually loses his head? The answer is a WINNER. Roy Keane's dedication to the cause is beyond question. We accept this part of his game but may not like it. WHat's the difference between Roy Keane and Denis Wise? Roy Keane doesn't hide. If he's angry he'll show it and the red mist will come down for the world to see. Denis Wise on the other hand will wait untill he is ou of sight and then get the dig in, forcing a player to react and then get sent off. He usually does this with little nips and pinches under the arm or summat. Still a dirty twat but with little honour.

Shearer without doubt played on Roy's unbalanced mind. Fair thing to do? Swings and roundabouts mate. It's a tough physical game where emotions sometimes run high. More has been said about this effort by Keane than Stevie Gerrard's effort last weeek.

-- Anonymous, September 17, 2001

You know why we're talking about Keane so much. Football is indeed a high pressure game, but it's not acceptable to react like that. Handbags, I'm not so sure. Keane was very upset / angry (insert adjective as necessary) and needed to be physically restrained. That's not acceptable or professional. Having words and winding each other up is part and parcel, it's the difference in being man enough to know that which separates the good from the great footballers. I may want Keane to play for us, but he's embarassed himself and made a fool of your club and manager.

Dennis Wise is a c*&t.

-- Anonymous, September 17, 2001

But he's like that Bobby. I can't defend him..he makes it very difficult for me to do so but history tells us that we have ALWAYS had players like this. Take them out of the game and we might as well have black and white tellys.

No Keane...No Eric, No Hunter, No Souness, No Bremner, No Charlton J, No Smith, No Batty, No Wise etc etc?

-- Anonymous, September 17, 2001

No LR, the Gerrard thing was ten/twenty/100 times worse than Keane on Saturday. There is no comparison at all. But would you say Gerrard was more of a Keane than a Wise cos that's what your justification of Keane sounds like.

I haven't seen as bad a tackle as Gerrard since Keane tried to remove Poyet's knee :0)

If Gerrard does a tackle liek he did on Boateng (another dirty bastard) on Beckham the next time you meet, then I expect you'll just shrug your shoulders and say it was one of those things.

Keane's playing skills are without doubt brilliant, his presence as a leader is spot on. But there is no point having a leader who isn't there cos he's lost the plot. His sending off on Saturday was petulant not big an clever or match winning, just petulant.
