Partisan Premiership Plop

Did that shoddy programme actually grace us with a mention in its post-match analysis?

Kind of a rhetoric question - I admit I didn't hear anything. I did, however, cough at one point so maybe Tel slipped in some Toon-related monosyllable then.

Did you use the word "plop" on purpose, or was that your Freudian slip falling off? Good one, either way. ;-)

Apalling Programme.

(Still better than anything with Cilla Black in it, like.)

Oi,

Giz a chance to get me answer page in!

Yep, whenever I want some honest-to-goodness onomatopoeia the humble "plop" is what I reach for first.

I watched it, basically because I couldn't wait to see it all again :)

However, next time, I'm prepared to wait until the next day and watch it on Sky

Dreadful, wasn't it? They decided last week that JSV was going to be the player of the season and so managed to eulogise about him yesterday. For anyone who couldn't watch the match, he stuck the ball straight out of play 3 times when attempting to find a teammate - lucky he doesn't play for us or he'd be the new Barton. Not a mention of this on "The Propaganda", who also neglected to show the shameful decision to call us back for a free kick when Robert and Bellamy were 2 on 1 with the advantage which led to our players being so angry that Manchester United equalised during the confusion. Nor was Keane's tackle on Lee deemed worth broadcasting any more than the fact that Barton had had to replace him in central midfield, no, it was all onanism over the wonderful reds as usual. Boooooooooo!!! Hope their catastrophic losses over On-Dig...oops, ITV2 bring the whole sh*thouse down and the Beeb generously offer to take the highlights at half the price. Too much to hope that Channel 4 come in and show them all how to cover sport properly.

I'll be interested to see the slant Goals on Sunday takes on it.

To be honest Soccer Saturday on Sky wasn't much better than ITV, what with its obligatory Taggart interview and its invention of a new award category (player of the week) specifically to give to Veron.

blissfully unaware...

Sky was better, had more time I think. They felt Keane was unlucky to be sent off as there was no real fight. Despite there being no real fight they praised (rightly) Beckham for holding Keane back from getting hurt.

They all agreed Blank was a potential problem for Man U, that Scholes changed the game. Eulogised over Robert goal, but then what else could you say. Didn't really have a go at Barthez for the cock up. Went slightly over the top on Shearer, without showing any contribution apart from the goal and not killing Keane.

A bit better

I got told off for whinging by my wife when pointing out the blatant Manure bias on ITV. I forgot who actually WON the game for a second. And if Scholes changed the game so much how come Man U LOST? Almost through the cat at the telly...

We didn't win the game.

Man U lost
