It was a good game mate...for neutrals. You're boys played out of their skins but they always do when The Champions are in town. Impressed with Robert....very very tidy.

Now that we're talking footy LR. It certainly was a great game, and as you suggest, our lads certainly played out of their skins, and did us proud. Frankly, they had to - we were playing against a truly outstanding team, who were undoubtedly a little unfortunate to get nothing out of the game.

It really reminded of the infamous 1st 3- 4 against Liverpool towards the end of "that" season - so I certainly know how you feel.

I thought your boys were good going forward, but you have serious problems with your defence - as we do - and I have doubts that Blanc is going to be the answer.

Regarding Keane, we all know what a good and combative player he is. However, his behaviour goes way over the top at times, and the incredible, inexcusable way he conducted himself in that final minute really does besmirch the fine name of Manchester Utd.

true enuff, great game and a great result, having been on the back end of this kinda score line before, I can appreciate your point of view.....as for us, I think with Bellamy and Robert we may have enough up front to get the job done.

LR, I have said elsewhere that I think your lot are terrifying going forward - in the first half, when your lot were attacking the Gallowgate, I was in terrors every time the ball came over the half way line. Giggs is unbelievable and Becks is always the business and your strikers aren't half bad either. As Clarky says, though, your defence really isn't very good - you'll come across better attacks than ours and you'll need to deal with them. Maybe Blanc is just finding his way at the moment, but he looked really off the pace. Must say, though, that Wes Brown is mint. It's a bit unfair to say that our lads were playing out of their skins, hence their winning - since when has a hardworking opposition been enough to stop your lot. What we all of a sudden have got is a wee bit of pace and even one or two bits of talent and your lot just weren't expecting it.

Clarky....Keane's a twat. Our defence is a 'mare still and I'm starting to hate playing you lot.

Tw_ts :-)

Well done.

But Douggie...I feel justified in saying you played out of your skins. Do you play like that every week? I have read the match reports on here after Wednesday and I though we would stroll it...no joke...STROLL it. Our midfield were not to be seen in th e1st half...credit to your boys and every 50/50 ball you were winning.

Play like that...like we "used" to do every week and you are in the CL next term. It's JUST hard work with a bit of skill and flair...nowt else. :)

Robert..mmmmmmmmmm...gimme gimme gimme :-)

to be honest doog, i don't think they will meet a better attacking line up in the prem.

LR, you'll still walk the league

LR, we do have a flair for raising our game for good teams and losing to poor teams: we did it as a matter of habit last season. It is brilliant to beat your lot but in reality, the real test will be next week when we play West Ham, and London curse notwithstanding, I expect at least a point, and Leicester City at home where nothing less than three points will do. It's these teams we have to beat.
