-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Afternoon one and all. I don`t think it will be held against us if, just for and hour and a half, we try to escape the grim atmosphere. My webcast seems to be on and off. Disappeared just after the two teams appeared.Howay the lads anyway!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Chance for Shearer first attack, acuna - robert - cross, miss
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001

Sounds like a great atmosphere. We need another two to approach any sort of safety!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Keep the reports coming fellas. Got no webcast still!!!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Hi All,There's only one Laurent Robert, One Laurent Robert........
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
The match is true end to end stuff, Solano has just missed a good chance.Given has made a couple of decent saves but the good news is that Manure are backing off Robert which is playing into his hands.
I'll keep the summaries coming but I don't want to clog this thread up on my own! Is there anyone else out there?
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
help, I am at work and cant get .cock metro radio to work, any Manure links??
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
great game end to end, standing off robert, got to get hold og giggs tho, x from left, solano, offside
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001

-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
I'm stuck at work trying to write a lecture in French (my first) for Tuesday.

-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
I just tried to log on through my girlfriends computer but that didn't work......
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
We're here. Sitting in Barcelona with the sun shining. Gave up on .cock 5 mins ago. The webcast from ManU is loud and clear and so far not blatantly biased. It's on manutd.com and you need RealPlayer.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Arsenal take the lead against Fulham.Motty says Bellamy has been off for medical attention but is now back on. Brown made a mess of something but no further goals.
Dabizas versus Van Horseyface...........shudder!!!!!!!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Cheers Deb, you are a lifesaver!!!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
R5 reckon Beckham will start to roam infield soon so hopefully they start to push G Neville up the pitch and Robert gets a free area!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Elliot gets a yellow card for a needless foul. Free kick to Manure but Given makes a great punch out which falls to Solano.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Cheers Barca boys!! Got the manc webcast.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Stevo and Swifty,Legends thanx a mil the manu site is a million times better than .cock, I can actually make out what is happening!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Manure will start to play the stereotypical counter attacking game. Manure having more and more chances now. Keep with it defence, at least with all this action the defence might stay awake!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
According to the Man Yoo match tracker - both sides are giving the ball away.Bit more honest then their manager!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Good of Motty to recognise there are two United's out there, we all know that there is only one United though!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001

Long range shot that bounced over Barthez.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Who is Shane Warne?
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
No shame here lads! Manure are full of WORLD Class players and it's not as if we're getting tonked, quite the opposite.Acuna and Lee have a lot of work to get through this afternoon and may ultimately prove to Robson that he needs to strengthen that area, however, until then.
HOWAY THE LADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001

-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Bloody Fox Sports,This sounds like a cracker and we've got Bolton v Soton on the box.
Bollox
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Close Loony,Have moved to the Sunshine Coast (Buderim ever heard of it?) nowhere near as exotic as your recent locations though!! When are u back in Sydney?
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
On Sky, George Best is covering the match and he's squirming in his seat!!! Kean just assaulted Dabizas but no yellow card. If the 2nd half is anywhere near as good as the first this will be some game.My only fear is the stamina of our players and their susceptibility to injuries.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Ooooooooooh bit close from Van nitzy. Good save from Given.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Elsewehere, Toon reject Kevin Gall has given Bristol Rovers the lead and former Carlisle player Scott Dobie has scored again for West Brom!Sounds like Bartez made a right mess for Lee's goal. Boro' 2-0 up against West Ham.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Nige - due back in Sydney Jan 4th. I`m not yet even half way through my trip!! spawny get I know ;O))
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Sounds like Lee is struggling a bit
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Hey speaking of freshness did ManU end up playing midweek or not in the end?
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
No Manure didn't play. Motson is struggling to keep up with events on the pitch.Excellent defensive work by Solano!!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
http://www.manutd.com/live/default.spsMuch better reception but.....
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Loony - No Champs Lge postponed. BTW did you hear Ansett went bust here in Oz yesterday?
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
sounds a stonking match?
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Personaly I would settle for a boring second half with no shots on goal.....
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Along with 200k of freq flyers of mine......
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Motson has just indicated that this could be the day when Manure do actually lose.................................so that's us knackered then!!Bellamy is starting to really impress me.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Dabizas is having to be restrained by Shearer. Dabs protesting over two penalty appeals, policeman moving in!!!!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Half-time
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Beckham disposessed, robert - bellamy - solano shot , batrhez saves
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
nice to see some of our players wanting it at least as much as the oppo. long as they don`t get booked in the process
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Every time I,ve seen Man u this season they have always impressed in the second half. Lets hope today is the exception!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Now things are a bit quieter can anyone post both teams & subs pls. ta
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Nige - so what happened with Ansett then. Did someone buy them out? Are Air NZ still going? How much are Qantas now gonna fleece us for domestic flights!!!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
cannot keep that pace up in 2nd half and yet cannot afford to give them room on the ball , who are the subs cos a lot is going to depend on how YBR sees it, one of those games when a manager earns his corn
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Loony-Toon Given Griffin Elliott O'Brien Dabizas Solano Acuna Lee Robert Shearer Bellamy
Evil Reds Barthez G Neville P Neville Blanc Brown Beckham Veron Keane Giggs Cole van Nistelrooy

The webcast problems are DEFINETLY because of Windows Media player. Man U webcast by Realplayer and perfect quality :-(
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Greetings from Seattle. Sounds like a cracker. Howay the lads. Very strange here in the States. No sports of any kind since Tuesday - the mood here is sombre and very, very angry. Somebody is going to pay a very heavy price for Tuesday.Let's stick a couple of more in and make it 3 4-1 wins on the trot.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Was that Lee's first goal since Chelsea in the semi final?
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
LT- Ansett done because of crap management @ Air NZ. Air NZ still around looks like more shares (35% odd) to be bought out by Singapore Airlines. Huge bunfight about it here the twats at Air NZ wrote to Johnny Howard asking for cash as Ansett is leaking. Unbelievable.Qantas will fleece us no doubt, though I think you'll see Virgin Blue step up to the plate with more routes and still cheap (ish) flights.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Cheers for subs nige, its a problem for Bobby looking at that lot, fraid got to still carry the game to them , and put their back 4 under pressure , not a game for Lua, may have to drop Bellamy off deeper,if lee tires then he may hoy Barton on midfield.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Aye Buff,I'd love to have a player like Olivier Dacourt on the bench
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Worthy cup draw, barnsley away
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
As I said above, Barton on for Lee -knock
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Buff - poss. a debut for Distin in holding role when the General tires?Nige - unbelievable news about Ansett. I think Virgin Blue`s problem is not enough aircraft at present to expand much
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
We're back ..Barton on for Lee....Attendance 52,065
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
and could I just add that I`d HATE to see our lot try and hang onto a single goal lead for another 45. Get intae them I say
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Southpaw that's sad no sports,I've been watching CNN all week myself with a very heavy heart. Only this afternoon when my Australian Footy team won did I feel a lift of spirits. Not to mention the small matter of the Toon 2 Manure 1!! Ahh Sport, good for the soul no matter what crap is going on around you!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Ahh the old 4-4-2 defensive then!! Barton and Acuna sit back while Solano and Robert push up, Shearer up on his own partnered intermittently by the free roaming Bellamy. The lads have made an excellent start with Nobby peppering the box with crosses.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
LT - One last thing about Ansett, Virgin doesn't have enough planes at the mo but Branson has lots of $$$ and there will be a few aircraft for sale once liquidators move in to sell of Ansett AssetsBTW Bellamy sounds good, he is proving us all wrong, fantastic
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Shearer is definitely back.......arguing with the Linesman!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
first 5 mins - all newcastle, barton to the fore, bellamy shot saved. solano in the game, motty waxing lyrical aboot robert

Motson says the Geordies are, "Luvvin it, luvvin it, luvvin it!!!!!!"and "the Newcastle fans must be casting their minds back to the infamous 5-0 victory!!"
Blaydon Races ringing round the ground, loud and clear on the radio.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001

Sorry Kegsy Haven't felt this good about the Toon since Keegan Days,As Jonno would say, TIWY!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Cole coming off, Scholes on. Graham Taylor reckons Veron is going forward and Scholes fits in alongside Keane in midfield.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
cole off , scholes on , pushing veron up alongside nestles ,
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Does that substitution mean that manure are getting beaten in midfield - or that Cole is having an 'off' day?
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Boro are beating Wham 2-nowt. Bring on next week
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Could it be that at long last we have a bit of confidence bordering on the arrogant with Bellamy, Robert and Shearer?Beckham free kick straight to Given. phew.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Giggs has got one back!! 3-2. 17 minutes gone.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001

-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Giggs, Scholes, Veron, Beckham. It's like playing those Allstar teams on the Playstation.Important challenge from Dabizas on Van Winklenose!!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
From 3-1 up we're now just hanging on !!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Manure effectively playing 4-1-4-1. Keane doing the defensive, everyone else raining down on the Newcastle goal. Any team would struggle against this type of play.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Doesn't matter who they have De B - they were there for the taking.A good team would have held them off
A greta team would have finished them off
It would appear we are neither
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
20 minutes left plus stoppage time. No way will this stay 3-3!

-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Sorry, but however good they are they were 3-1 down - if anybody would struggle against this lot why do they lose games? This is a game we should have won.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001

-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
cheers for the updates DeBuilder - keep em coming. I`ve also got the BBC text service open but it only seems to tell you who`s taking the throw-ins - and whether they`re attacking or defensive! Incredible
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001

Tomorrow, 4pm, A six pack and a big bag of chips.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Well at least I got the 4 right! Tremendous performance from the lads, given the 120 minutes on Wednesday.Prediction: If we keep scoring 4 goals a match, we'll win a hell of a lot of matches. Unfortunately, given our defensive frailities, we won't win them all.
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
The match of the season by all accounts. Goals, Keane off, Bellamy, Robert, everyone superb!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Fantastic bloody win - great 3 points - I`m not even gonna have my customary whinge about our inability to defend - time to go walkabout around La Paz in my B&W - not that I exactly had any choice seeing as how I wore it TO the internet place like ;O))))feck the Xmas shopping I`m off to have a few jars!!!!!!!!!

Hey I thought I did the videos around here?
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
By my reckoning that puts us above ManU on goal difference. Rejoice rejoice. And the mackems are pointless today!!!
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
Thanks all for the chat,Awesome performance from the lads if we can stay clear of injuries I honestly think that the CL is not beyond us this year (Said with full optimism!)
Good Night All (Its 2am here!)
-- Anonymous, September 15, 2001
My pulse rate is just beginning to go down. We looked completely out of it when they equalised, but showed character to get back. Pace of Bellamy and Robert a formidable weapon. And Keane..icing on the cake, especially having deliberately injured Lee sliding in knowing Rob would first get the ball. Great game, 3 points, and after this dreadful week just what I needed. HOWAY THE LADS!
