Here are some interesting articles on Taliban and China. China, of course has threatened America many times. If China defends Aphganistan in conflict this could become very serious worldwide. China has been looking for an excuse for awhile. Most favored nation status notwithstanding.

I have no idea why we deal with China. They havn't been our friends (in the west) for a long time now. I HATE seeing everything (practicly) in the stores marked Made In China. That really burns me up. I'm hoping the Bush will try to get the flood of cheap Chinese products cut off from the country. Along with Mexican stuff. It'll never happen though. Too many hands in the pot.

I strive to get as much stuff made in the USA as I can, followed by Europe, then maybe Japan. In that order. Same thing with the middle east. If we quit buying oil from them, they would be back in the stone age really soon.

You can hardly buy anything anymore that isn't stamped made in china. maybe we need to start producing our own things like they did in the appalachians for so long. Anybody here know how to carve a chair?
