10?25 PDT from the Torrance Library:

My flight was cancelled for today. I'm supposed to be on one at the crack of dawn tomorrow. We'll see how that goes, but if I can't fly out tomorrow, Plan B goes into effect.

It's much calmer away from LA proper. I did go into downtown LA briefly yesterday to conclude the estate business. Security was extremely heavy, and I have to show my father's death certificate and letter of aurthority to be admitted to two of the buildings. They almost turned me away, but I got lucky and got a supervisor to take pity on this project. It's now done, at least the parts that I came to LA to do.

People in LA are ranging from still in shock to somewhat angry. I was glad to get out of there and come back to the beach. Lots of cars/trucks/etc are flying little American Flags, and flags are flying from many over-passes.

I remain on alert. Thanks for your concern and prayers. I had a chance to glace at several of the threads and to reply to one.

Miss you all! My time at the library is up. I'm headed for the beach today.
