Daft really, many moons ago 4 of us Geordies were in this team working down in Kent pressure testing this pipeline, we had a caravan in a wee village called Upstreet as a base and being nice friendly Geordies we attempted to win over the hearts and minds of the locals by challenging them to a indoor sports night at the local pub. We took them on at darts,doms,shove halfpenny and bat and trap on the lawn. Needless to say we won and as capt the publican presented me with this cup to rapturous applause. On looking closely at the cup later in the evening I was took aback by the inscription on the base,it read
