Rice Milk???

Need a recipe for rice milk... Also, is there a way to can it?

Debbie--The way I make mine is to boil rice with a larger quantity of water than usually called for, and boil until rice is extremely soft (do not allow water to soak in). Place mixture in blender and puree, and add addtional water until the consistency of liquid milk purchased in the grocery store. Let cool. Add flavoring such as vanilla or almond extract, sugar, to taste, and extra water (if necessary) to blend again to desired consistency. I have both canned and frozen excess quantities with no problems. Sincerely, Traci
