rumfeld is on NBC giving a statement, taking questions

He started by saying, in essence, 'those who hve access to top clearance info and let it out to others who do not have clearance should shut the f--k up. Anyone who knows anyone who lets this info out should report that person.

In order words, the pentagon is going to become very tightlipped now, and hopefully they can plug any leaks that are already there.

[Don't they do this just before they start doing stuff that they don't want the targets to know about?]

Guess I won't hear from hubby for quite some time. He doesn't tell me anything anyway, but he wouldn't dare take the chance. I've learned long ago not to ask him any questions.

Just saw Powell's newsconference on TV..
I was surprised that he was as open on objectives as he was, though he handled questions(some good ones) quite adroitly..Some notable(to me) comments.. He effectively sidestepped the question put to him on whether directive against assassination would be rescinded.... Armitage is working jointly with his Russian counterpart regarding common interests wrt Afganistan.... Then made some comment that sounded like they ARE GOING to move together with whatever plan they've been hatching..
Fair amount more.. he covered a fair amount of ground in the interview..
All the Best brent

Taliban said they would hand over Bin Laden if they were given sufficient proof. Of course, that proof is likely to be information we won't want to share.

Imminent missile attack should be enough proof for them, don't you think?
