A strange night

The night sky looks very strange this evening. I live about 30 miles east of Philadelphia. Our back porch faces west, toward Philly, and I am used to sitting out there in the evening and seeing all sorts of airplanes in the sky. But not tonight.

Even though the sky is clear as can be, with stars shining all over the place, no planes. I can sit there for many minutes now and see nothing but the stars. Except for two strange lights. I saw two blinking white lights moving across the sky. I think they were going much faster than any normal airplanes I have ever seen.

They had no other lights, no red beacons, no steady white, red, or green position lights, just a white strobe flashing. If they had been normal planes and where low enough in altitude to explain the fast movement across my field of vision I should be able to see the other lights on it as well. And hear their engines, but I couldn't. If they were so high up that only the strobe was visible then they were moving far too fast compared to what I am used to seeing on other nights, supersonic fast, but with no sonic booms. Very strange indeed.

Stealth planes?

NE Ohio just had 2 planes go over again heading to the east...

One thing I noticed tonight at twilight was the orange /pink in the east, different from a fall sunset...eerie color.
