When i left for work this morning I had NO idea that the day would be like it is. I drove to work which is a 45 mile drive through the beautiful Ozarks to harrison. Then at 10AM this morning when I went to a meeting I was told of the events, just shocked me to the bone. But then it got really crazy there, gas was 1.57 a gal this morning, now its 5.00 a gal and would you believe gas lines? I haven't seen gas lines like that since 1973. I have to wonder, why and where do fol;ks think they will go etc?

I also am worried as I learend there is a neuclear silo 2 hrs from here. I know its not proper and in keeping with the policy on this forum regarding prayer, but I have to say, I really got the chills today. God Bless.

Bernice, I just ran out to the grocery store to get milk and on the way I saw police, out directing traffic at the gas stations. Wild.

This is just awful !!! I was at work also when this all broke loose and I'll tell ya, I wanted to get my kids and come home. We live in a small town of about 300 people, there were over 40 cars gasing up all at once. Gas south of us is already $3.60 a gallon. Who can afford to go to work with that price? Will the schools stop running the busses?? Sure makes you wonder but the one thing that continues to run in my head is "prepare to meet thy God". Whether sooner or later - we'll all be there.

We just moved back to a little town where we lived 4 years ago. It never occured to me that there would be a run on gas until my wife told me that gas was costing $5.00 in Kansas, then I check CS and found it was happening all over. Both tanks in my gas hog truck were on empty so I made a run to the Mom & Pop for gas, the lines were long but I got both tanks filled, the price? $1.79/9 which is about average out here anyway. The store owner told me hed has been pumping gas all day and would likely run dry by 6:30 and that his price was suppose to be $2.05. I'll bet by tomorrow when he gets his next load of gasoline he will be over $3.00 if not more.

HI I just gassed up our V-8 and I am glad to report to price increase, it was 1.36 a gallon here on the Eastern shore of Maryland. I am planning a trip to Michigan and I fear the cost of gas will keep up home. PRAY Karole

All the stations in our two nearest towns are all out of gas except for one place and the police are there directing traffic. My oldest son called from another town where he works nearby and said gas is up to $4.75 a gallon there.

The price of gas, yesterday, jumped from 1.70 to 1.99 in an hour. The cars were lined up to get gas. I had a half tank and thought, "I am not going to join the panic. I'll see what happens." Today, the price is back down to 1.72. I did hear that in some parts of MI, gas jumped to 3, 4, 5 dollars a gallon. If I were one of those folks who paid that much, I would be mighty mad and probably at the gas station today demanding a refund. This type of gouging by the gas stations should be prosecuted. It is already illelegal.
