Glitch halts futures tradingMonday, September 10, 2001 at 18:30 JST TOKYO — The Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) said Monday it has suspended trading in a range of derivatives such as stock index futures due to a computer problem.
The suspension immediately triggered anxieties among market players as Friday is the monthly special quotation (SQ) day for certain investment products. SQs are prices at which trades based on stock index futures and stock indicator options are settled. (Kyodo News)
