Stockholm trading halted due to computer problemThe Associated Press
STOCKHOLM, Sweden (September 7, 2001 1:32 p.m. EDT) - Trading on the Stockholm Stock Exchange was halted briefly Friday because of an unspecified computer problem.
Trading was stopped at 4:42 p.m. and didn't resume until an hour later, according to the Swedish news agency TT.
Anna Eriksson, spokeswoman at OM, which owns and operates the bourse, couldn't describe the nature of the problem but said it was affecting only equities trading.
"It will take a few days to get a full technical report of what happened and how to avoid it in future," she said before trading resumed.
