indentifying a very large caterpillar

We have found a caterpillar that is blue in color smooth like skin not furry. It is 6 inches long and larger than a nickle around with black spikes more like aquarter around it has a brown face with inch long orange spikes. If any one no what this is pleasssse let me no. thanks

I looked in my caterpillar book and from your description it sounds like a Hickory Horned Devil. Gets to be 6 inches long. Maybe try a search for this on the net and see if this is it.
