drr and temps

I've still got a problem with my CPU over heating! Is it possible that the ddr is making it run hotter? Does ddr have this effect and to what degree? My CPU is running at about 65C and no one seems to be able to solve my problem! Its a 1.4Ghz on a GA7DX with 512 mb ddr. It's got a thermoengine on so it should be fine but it isn't!

Will the faster a CPU goes the hotter it becomes, 65C is not overheating, it specifies on the AMD website that Athlons above 1.1GHz can run upto 95C dependant on the system conditions. With you having a GeForce3 and a DDR system, and if I remember correctly 7,200 rpm hard disk you will be generating a lot of heat, 65C is not unusual and as your systemis not crashing or locking up I cant see the problem. For a little more info in some tests we did with our Coolermaster fans 1 GHz ran at 44C, 1.2 ran at 53C and 1.4 ran at 62C. None of the systems suffered any kind problems as they have been designed with these parameters in mind.
