The Season Has Arrived!

Here we go! The march to the Super Bowl begins at home as the Carolina Panthers come to town this Sunday.

The Panthers bring a squad of second-tier NFL players that should pose no threat to the Vikings. The Panthers will have Chris Weinke at the helm to kick off the season. Weinke is a 28-year-old rookie that won the starting job in preseason. Weinke will be throwing to the only weapon the Panthers have in Mushin Muhammad. Muhammad is a threat, but can be double-teamed all game to prevent any big plays from him. On top of that, one Todd Steussie is protecting Weinke. So expect several false starts from the left side of their offensive line.

The keys to victory for the Vikes are playing solid defense and on offense, let that baby fly! The Panthers have no answer for either Moss or Carter and because of this the offense should put up sick numbers. Moss could have a 200-yard receiving day with three or four touchdowns. This game will get out of control in the first quarter and the Panthers will never be in it.

The Vikings have a tough road ahead so this win is vital for our Super Bowl dreams. My prediction is a Viking win 41-21.

I hope your right! I think the Vikes should roll to an easy win, but we haven't really had one of those in a long time.

I hope we get an easy one, because looking at the schedule, there are not going to be a lot of weeks where we can relax. Let's get an early jump on the Panthers, pressure Weinke, and sit back and relax.
