INTERNAZIONALE'S Uruguayan star Alvaro Recoba has revealed his intention to let his representatives find him a new club if he is not allowed to play in Italy by Uefa.

Recoba was caught up in the European wide passport storm and has been initially banned by the European governing body from playing in Serie A for a year.

"If, as it seems, I cannot play with Inter at least in the UEFA Cup, then for me the situation changes substantially, I will give the order to my agent so that he evaluates the possibilities that exist of playing outside Italy until my suspension finishes, since that seems feasible," said Recoba.

The player recognised that he did not have any other option but to ask the Milan club if they would temporarily let him leave, so as to avoid being unemployed during his ban, which appears to be unavoidable.

"It is too much, the duration could jeopardise my future career," added Recoba.

'Chino' also argued about how much Fifa president Joseph Blatter believed that the case of false passports was more or less serious than that of the nandrolone scandal.

"I really did not do anything other than to request a passport to be able to carry out my work as a football player to a better standard," said Recoba defensively.

Clubs such as Monaco and Valencia are being touted as being ones interested in taking Recoba on loan for a year.

We have enough south americans, a loan deal would ok though.

Great! Another dodgy passport for us to be linked with! ;-)

This player is a class above anything we have now, save possibly for Robert and possibly Dyer. I'll even forge his passport for him.

Seconded swifty, he managed to stand out in the company of Vieri, Zamorano and Sukur all fighting for the strikers' places. Probably the best dead-ball specialist in the world.
