Not risen to the mackem bait at all on the bbs but finally I rise to the challenge.

1. Down here in Ramsgate all staff applauded the atmosphere that SJP seemed to give the match last night.Granted on TV things can be different, but the perception in this area of the south east regarding the toon and its supporters and SJP as a venue has been reinforced. So any anti toon threads or digs by the one sunlun fan on the staff did him no good what so ever. Please believe me..these Thanet people have no hidden agendas.

2. Two years ago two of our students from Abaco Central in The Bahamas recieved Commonwealth scholarships to further their education. One found herself in Newcastle, the other in Sunderland. What a different perspective they gave initially. One loved it, one hated it. No prizes for guessing which way round it was. The outcome was that Jasmin left Sunderland and moved to Newcastle.Loved it.

So please.Stop the jibes and the taunts. Both places and sides have their qualities and problems. Here are just two viewpoints that happen to see Newcastle in a positive light
