It seems to me that the summary is:

1) A teacher assigned a work for you to read.

2) You decided that instead of actually reading it, you would come here and post a question, hoping someone will spare you the effort, and the actual benefit, of reading the story yourself.

3) If you continue to approach your schoolwork in this lazy, disaffected way, you will never prepare yourself to hold a real job, where there usually isn't anyone to do your work for you.

4) You will not be qualified to do anything and, unless your father appointed several Supreme Court Justices, which might get you a job as President of the US, you will end up as a homeless person.

the "summary" of ur choosing when u say our reasons for coming to this site are totally wrong in my case. i have read the story., several times. it is not that long. its not a a entire book, tyhat can only be read by sparing hours apon hours of ur time. i just simply, dont understand the damn writing. i have to write an essay responce, but how can i do that, if i dont understand the damn peice?!

uhh... montresor wants to get back at fortunato for bringing the fall of his family's empire.... and insulting him. so, m gets f really drunk and wants f to taste a bottle of expensive wine. f is a really concieted wine fanatic and so goes down to the catacombs where the wine is stored. then all of a sudden, m straps f into a little opening in the wall of the catacombs, chains him up, builds a brick wall over the opening, and throws the torch in. that's basically it..... he kills him.
