I almost typed Monday. It's a yucky, rainy day in D/FW. How were y'all's Labor Days?

I love Mad Mad. It's pretty gross here too. Not rainy, but foggy and humid. I had a nice, do nothing weekend.

Anyone wanna do a birthday week guest entry?

Okay. Why is it that on my iBook, it looks like my white layer on my 9/3 entry just stops halfway through? That's not how I did it, nor is that how it looked on my PC.

MAAAAAAC!!!!!!

From Sara Astruc: (I joined her notify and told her I lurk on 3wa. She wrote me back.)

PS: I've been lurking over at your forum, too!

Heee! That makes me happy.

H, it looks that way on my computer, too. Is it a background?

-- Anonymous, September 04, 2001

it's a layer w/ a white background just over a colored background. So weird! The layer should go all the way to the end of the text.

Make the entry part a table, and color the table white. Make the height 100%, and it should work that way.

I just applied to be a gymnastics coach, y'all. Hahaaaah! I'm sure they let smokers in, right?

Hey, y'all.

I dropped my mother at the airport at 6:20 this morning. I'm doing laundry right now. L of L no more, and I'm sort of sad.

I'm going to start updating my journal again - I had no desire to while I was feeling all pathetic and despondent. Now, though, there are funny wedding-prep stories to tell. And how my mother did not say ONE THING about the sin-living, but how I am deathly afraid to speak to Edna.

My family. Al, I'm going to call Aunt Anita today - we were with them at the Mall of Georgia (I highly recommend the Nordstrom Rack - my new $50 from $250 Via Spiga purse has made me inordinantly happy, and they had rows of shoed in large sizes) but I forgot to ask - we were very hurried as we drove from Vinings to Cumming, where Lacey and her husband recently bought a house, and then to Gwinnett, where the Mall of Georgia lives, and then on to Woodstock, where my cousin Elby, her husband, her birds, her dogs, and her newborn daughter live. In all, we covered Cobb, Fulton, Forsyth, Gwinnett, and Cherokee counties yesterday, and crossed the Chattahoochee about a thousand times.

But, Al, your mother speaks the truth: Little Peter, Brett, and Lacey all worked for Ford at one point in time. I actually considered working for Ford when I was in the depths of unemployed-ness. Could you work for Ford?

Question:

Do y'all think a picture of Chicken would go with T Goes To Town?

-- Anonymous, September 04, 2001

Chicken goes with everything.

T - I didn't know Elby had a baby! That's great.

-- Anonymous, September 04, 2001

She had a little girl a few weeks ago - they named her Laura Elby, making her the fourth Elby.

See, my great Aunt was named Laura Brockenbraugh Bonnabel, which was a lot of name for a little girl. Her older sisters started calling her L.B., which morphed into Elby. She named her daughter Laura Elby, who named her daughter Elby, and now they're back to Laura Elby with the new baby.

Did I tell you that Faith is having a little girl? Al, you can tell your mother that Anita and Peter have five - almost six - precious, sweet grandchildren, and Big Peter goes by Boom-Paw. He's never tried to give one the babies a sip of his scotch, and that's a good thing.

I wonder, is it possible for me to put the new and improved MATH+1 link on my diaryland page, or would that require image hosting?

-- Anonymous, September 04, 2001

I don't think so, because look at how many people create their own templates. they don't all have Gold memberships.

-- Anonymous, September 04, 2001

That's true - Uncle Bob has images, and he doesn't have a Gold membership. I want a template with Chicken!
