The Leica Light!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

How about this thing in your living room?

A Copenhagen junk dealer has two of these up for sale at around 400 $ each.
I am afraid the fittings do not match the chrome of your Leica collection; it is made from aluminium and silver painted metal.

PS: I don't know the price of the chandelier

Hi, Niels:

No matter the currency it would be nice to have one in the living room but I can't use the opportunity this time.

But I want to congratulate you for your picture which did capture the Leica light !

Have fun

Buy film, much more fun!

Does it cast nice out of focus shadows? Was it made in Wetzlar, Solms Canada, (or perish the thought) Portugal? So much to think about - clearly worth much more than $400 to any self respecting Leicaphile...

I think that the older generation of Leica lights had better bokeh, but caused more flare.

I hope nobody starts a thread about how Nikon lights can't hold a candle (pun intended) to the Leica lights. ;-)
