Canon A-1 for sale

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon FD : One Thread

Reluctantly accepting that i can only use so many cameras at once, and that I could use the money better than a fifth (!) camera, I'm thinking of parting with my A-1 (owned from new) with 1.8 standard lens, and a 3rd party (but matching) autowinder. The autowinder will permit single or continuous shooting, and- with cable release- interval shooting (like every 5 seconds, or minute...etc.)

Does this interest anyone? If so let me know what value you would put on the outfit. The camera is in excellent condition, light signs of wear on the body, some circular scratches on the base (hidden by the autowinder) where a tripod was used extensively at one time.

Look forward to hearing from you, Cheers JIM

Just an amendment to the above posting- I was thinking of the wrong camera when I mentioned circular tripod scratches! The base of this one is as smooth as a baby's bottom!

I also have a Canon 200mm f4 lens in lvoely condition- hardly ever used, and a Tamron 135mm f2.5- more used but nothing wrong with it, in case anyone was buying a bundle!?

Cheers JIM

Jim, I would be interested on the A1, if you still have it. (Idealy I would want to get the body only)

Thanks George

I have an A-1 but I would be interested in purchasing any lenses you have that are in good condition as well as any accessories that you may have.

I have the following Canon camera equipment: [a]35mm SLR Camera, Model A-1; [b] Canon Zoom Lens, Model FD 35-105mm 1:3.5 (with Canon Skylight filter); [c] Canon Lens, Model FD 50mm 1:1.8 (with Canon Skylight filter and metalic sunshade); [d] Canon Speedlite Flash, Model 199A (dedicated to the A-1). I am missing the Operator's Manuals for these items and would like to obtain either original manuals or reprint copies. I might be talked into selling the equipment if the price is right. The items are in very good condition and fully functional. Please contact me at my e-mail address: rmohs@qwest.net.

FOR ROBERT MOHS:

If you are still in possesssion of this equipment, and are still willing to part with it, what might you consider a fair price for the Speedlite flash, and do you know if it is compatible to the AE-1?

I already own a canon A-1, but I love it so much I'd like another one. If this camera is still available, I'd be very interested in purchasing it, perhaps in bundle with the other lenses you have. I'm a bit concerned with the quality of the insides of the camera (i.e. dust, scratches), but I don't think the one you own has any problems (from what you've told anyway). Apparently, others have put requests in, but if the camera is still available, I'd like to know what the highest bid was.

Thanks, Mike
