Peter Reid Supporters Club - Help Needed

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

I was going to watch the game on Sky but ended up with the Beeb - turned over during a pre-game advert and just stayed. (Did manage to catch some of Big Al's comments on Sky, but it was a bit lousy. He'll have to do something more if he wants an Alan Hansen job)

Of all the 'pundits' on BBC, by far the best was Mr Reid. Funny, articulate, passionate, knowledgeable, and not as po-faced as Hansen or Lawrenson. A breath of fresh air, and a damn good chap too.

I'm beginning to like this guy. Please help anyone?

Agreed with you in advance elsewhere Nick, even to the extent of kicking the monkey heed thing into touch. I like the guy.

Like Pit Bill, I've made similar comments elsewhere. He's a top blerk - pity he's stuck in such a bloody awful day job! ;0{)

I couldn't help wondering why he was on a jolly in Germany instead of transfer negotiations to replace Don Hutchison. Making him pundit for Wednesday's game would have been more sensible.

Good lord man, yer cannit' go round sayin' that in public!! It's all very well makin' these lads from Weary land feel welcome and all but lets keep things like this behind closed doors eh? You'll be sayin' yer like Double Maxim next? (Wheatsheaf, Corbridge, 13 yrs old 2 bottles...hammered, P Reid sneaky respect behind closed doors, strictly adults only mentioning things like that tho')

Spot on TM. Next thing will be that the " Poisoned Dwarf " Philips is dead canny!

Reid has a certain laddish bonhommie, but that's about it.

But Niall Quinn is quite nice. A friend of mine has a great story about him persuading this lad to give his sister some of his lottery winnings...

You're right TM, I know! That's why I asked for help.

Dougs - "A friend of mine has a great story about him persuading this lad to give his sister some of his lottery winnings..."

Half of a tenner win is hardly showboating :-)

Reid is a chimp impersonating get. A firm slap will shake you out of it, Nick :-)

I'll ask 'er indoors to oblige tonight. I'll tell her that she really ought to start dressing her age - that will do the trick nicely

Flippin' eck. Next, we'll be having suggestions that he should be YBR's successor. Ooh - imagine if he won the league for us ;-)) More tea Vicar? (PG Tips of course).

Starting to look like another 'you love him or you hate him'. Seems to be no middle ground.

Actually, in this case it's much simpler than that PB - he's the SAFC Manager so he must be a t**t. What infantile baloney!
